Offshore Heavy Lift Yoke User (Janett)

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Offshore Heavy Lift Yoke User (Janett), you will play a key role in supporting safe and controlled lifting operations during offshore major component exchange campaigns. Working on jack-up vessels and offshore wind turbine sites, you will prepare, inspect, and operate Janett Yoke equipment within approved procedures and competence levels. Collaborating closely with Team Leads, Senior Technicians, Vessel Managers, crane teams, and lifting specialists, you will help ensure the safe movement, installation, and replacement of major wind turbine components while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Support safe and efficient Janett Yoke operations during offshore heavy lift campaigns, including loadout, mobilisation, component exchange, installation, demobilisation, and close-out activities.
  • Prepare, inspect, maintain, and operate Janett Yoke equipment in accordance with approved procedures, lift plans, RAMS, and operating limits.
  • Work collaboratively with crane operators, lifting teams, vessel crews, and offshore technicians to deliver controlled lifting and component handling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy safety standards, permit-to-work systems, point-of-work risk assessments, and site-specific requirements.
  • Identify and escalate equipment defects, technical concerns, unclear instructions, or changing site conditions to protect safe operations.
  • Support toolbox talks, shift handovers, pre-task briefings, and task readiness activities to ensure operational success.
  • Complete documentation, inspection records, defect reports, logbooks, and technical paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned activities, and the development of fellow team members through knowledge sharing and best practice.

What You Bring:

  • Offshore wind, marine, lifting, mechanical, maintenance, construction, or industrial service experience, ideally within high-risk operational environments.
  • Janett Yoke User experience is highly desirable, although candidates with relevant lifting, component handling, or major component exchange experience and a willingness to complete training will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of heavy lift operations, crane activities, jack-up vessels, major component exchanges, or controlled lifting systems.
  • Ability to interpret and follow lift plans, RAMS, EIPs, work instructions, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Experience working within permit-to-work systems, offshore safety procedures, and customer site requirements.
  • Strong procedural discipline, attention to detail, and the confidence to stop work when conditions become unsafe or controls are unclear.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work within multinational and cross-functional offshore teams.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills, including experience using digital systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility to work offshore rotations, travel internationally, and adapt to changing mobilisation schedules and weather-dependent operations.
  • Electrical qualifications or experience are advantageous but not essential. Candidates with strong mechanical, lifting, or offshore backgrounds will be fully considered.
