Position Summary

The Regional Technical Operations Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership and operational support across multiple production facilities within the region. This role ensures consistency in plant operations, drives product quality and innovation, and supports the commercialization of new technologies. The position serves as a key liaison between operations, technical teams, sales, and supply chain to optimize performance, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance on product formulation, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and plant operations.
  • Drive operational consistency and standardization across facilities and procedures.
  • Manage formulation processes to improve plant efficiency and optimize raw material costs.
  • Oversee and maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems, including PPM and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Technical Marketing teams to evaluate product performance and support market needs.
  • Partner with supply chain and procurement to assess and select raw materials for production.
  • Lead development and implementation of new technologies, processes, and products from concept to commercialization.
  • Support scaling of processes from laboratory development to full plant production.
  • Work closely with engineering and laboratory teams to introduce and deploy innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives by developing and presenting new ideas, technologies, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain regular communication with regional facilities to ensure operational alignment and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a degree; 5+ years required without a degree.
  • Strong technical knowledge of asphalt, materials science, or related industry processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Additional Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be located on the East Coast (remote-based role).

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Technical Operations Director.
