Description:

Magnolia Marine Transport has an opening at our Vicksburg office for a full-time Vetting Coordinator to Schedule, inspect, and maintain customer vetting requirements for MMT equipment.

Vetting Coordinator Qualifications:

College graduate or equivalent marine experience.

Must have a valid driver license.

preferred valid US Merchants Mariner's credential / tankerman PIC.

Must hold a valid TWIC card.

Knowledge of US Coast Guard regulations

knowledge of Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) Program

Ability to maintain a good working relationship with MMT personnel, vendors, and customers.

Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of MMT vetting and customer vetting.

Strong computer skills

Ability to communicate effectively with vessel crew and others during inspections.

Extensive travel and overnight stays required.

Able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and board vessels in difficult conditions.

Vetting Coordinators Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for OCIMF and other customer sire vetting inspections

Responsible for maintaining and updating sire/barge spreadsheet.

Maintain each customer's barge/boat particular documents.

Responsible for scheduling all sire inspections.

Responsible for opening work orders or adding PRs for barge/boat deficiencies

Responsible for routing all OCIMF sire reports to MMT vetting group.

Responsible for entering vetting data in the OCIMF website.

Timely and effective communication with customer vetting personnel

Follow through with action items identified during inspection to ensure they are completed by either vessel crew or shore personnel.

responsible for reporting unsafe conditions and nonconformities to supervisor, for taking action to prevent accidents, and ensuring appropriate resolution.

participate in debriefing and discussions to ensure clean understanding of inspection results.

Track replacement and disposal of crossover hoses

ID and facility opportunities for the processing the improvement of the inspection process

Other duties as needed in support of compliance department.
