Copywriter

Ergon Inc. is seeking a full-time Copywriter to join our Communications team. The copywriter will produce copies for B2B and B2G audiences globally. They will create copy for external audiences across multiple companies and across multiple platforms, including for advertising campaigns, blogs, whitepapers, emails, newsletters, social networks, landing pages, print collaterals, and more in this role. The copywriter will work alongside a team of marketers and with the director of brand strategy. They will create copy that engages diverse audiences and is consistent in style, tone of voice, and representative of our brand.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BA/ MA in Marketing, PR, English, Journalism, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' copywriting experience
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Experience in producing copy for digital, print, and broadcast channels against a brief
• Familiar with copywriting and marketing trends and best practices
• Demonstrates both creativity and focus
• Skilled in translating technical information into compelling and engaging copy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Understand how to write for search optimization
• Exhibits strong communication and presentation skills
• Can quickly adapt to a multitude of requirements for copy

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal and external research to gather the information needed to create accurate and complete copy
• Maintain a deep understanding of best practices in both marketing and business-related content creation
• Share good practices within the team
• Clarify purpose of content, deadlines, and deliverables needed with Director of Brand Strategy and other internal stakeholders
• Create and maintain a content repository and work towards the development of a content management system
• Ensure copywriting-related work is captured on the provided project management/campaign management tool
• Work with designers on ensuring that designs support copy content
• Travel occasionally to meet with team members and associates in other locations
