Job Summary/Purpose

Perform responsibilities as an inspector and Quality Control Inspection Coordinator in accordance with Fleet Procedure EN-QV-102, ''Quality Control Inspection Program”.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Select, perform, conduct and document results of inspections, examinations and testing to verify conformance to specified requirements when assigned to perform receipt inspections and associated quality inspections.
  • Preform reviews and assessments of receipt inspections performed by qualified QC Receipt Inspectors
  • Provide instruction, oversight and guidance to individuals in the QC Receipt Inspection qualification process and continual fleet oversight of the QC receipt inspection function.
  • Review and approve inspection, examination and testing procedures.
  • Ensure ANSI N45.2.6 Level III Qualifications and certifications are current, including eye exams, prior to performing inspections (See EN-QV-111, 'Training and Certification of Inspection / Verification and Examination Personnel.')
  • Support site warehouse and QC receipt inspection functions as assigned
  • Provides oversight capability for receipt inspection function and provides technical/Quality support to Supply Chain Management.
  • Qualifies new and existing ANSI Level I, II and III inspectors.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Level III Inspector (meet one of the conditions below)::

  • High school graduate or have earned a GED equivalent to a high school diploma plus six years satisfactory performance as a Level II in the corresponding inspection, examination, or test category or class OR
  • High school graduate or have earned a GED equivalent to a high school diploma plus ten years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination or testing activities OR
  • High school graduate plus eight years experience in equivalent inspection, examination or testing activities, with at least two years as Level II inspector and with at least two years associated with nuclear facilities or, if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted with the relevant quality assurance aspects or a nuclear facility OR
  • Completion of college-level work leading to an associate degree plus seven years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination or testing activities; with at least two years of this experience associated with nuclear facilities or, if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted with the relevant quality assurance aspects of a nuclear facility.OR
  • Four-year college graduate plus five years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination or testing activities, with a least two years of this experience associated with nuclear facilities or, if not, at least sufficient training to be acquainted with the relevant quality assurance aspects of a nuclear facility.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 6 years

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Knowledge of nuclear and other regulatory quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Inventory and Material Control software systems, and other common computer applications.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with others in the organization including good oral and written communication skills.
  • The individual shall be capable of performing the inspections, examinations, and tests that are required to be performed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices.
  • ANSI N45.2.6 defines minimum capabilities for a Level III inspector.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

  • Desired: Previous qualification as an ANSI Level II or III Inspector. Level III certification within 6 months of hire is a requirement of the position.
