Job Summary/Purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is a full cycle Recruiter position on Entergy’s Talent Acquisition team responsible for candidate sourcing, candidate screening, management of the interview process, and job offer presentation and negotiation for various exempt professional, non-executive leadership and some craft positions across the company. Success in this role will require the ability to find qualified candidates for a variety of positions and entice them to consider employment with Entergy, a discerning eye to determine which applicants are invited to interview with business leaders, and strategic management of the selection process from requisition creation to offer acceptance in a way that delivers optimal outcomes for all stakeholders. This role with support Entergy's Nuclear organization.
Candidate Sourcing: utilize market data to determine effective sourcing strategies for assigned requisitions to generate diverse slate of most-qualified candidates; identify passive candidates and convert to active applicants using expert outreach techniques; partner with Talent Acquisition Coordinator to schedule candidate phone screens; create strategies to stay connected with passive talent using drip campaigns and pre-scheduled outreach
Candidate Screening: create screening strategy for assigned business units; screen candidates for qualification, interest, and availability using combination of phone, video, digital, and in-person tools; partner with Talent Acquisition Coordinator to schedule job interviews for qualified candidates; collaborate with other recruiters to route candidates to most-appropriate opportunity based on skills and preference; communicate decisions to unsuccessful candidates to ensure positive candidate experience
Managing Interview Processes: partner with hiring managers and business partners to determine effective interview strategy for assigned requisitions; obtain interview feedback and hiring decisions from hiring managers in a timely and compliant manner; communicate decisions to unsuccessful candidates to ensure positive candidate experience
Job Offer Presentation and Negotiation: develop job offer and negotiation strategy for assigned business unity; prepare and present job offers to successful candidates based on business feedback; partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to negotiate offers with candidates when necessary
System Utilization: manage all processes in applicant tracking system associated with job summary and responsibilities
Leadership (For Talent Acquisition Recruiter III): serve as the backup to Sr. Recruiter when necessary
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing strategies for assigned requisitions to ensure successful execution of the candidate sourcing, candidate screening, interview process management, and offer presentation and negotiation activities related to assigned requisitions
- Develop and execute all steps in the hiring process from requisition creation to offer acceptance autonomously for assigned requisitions
- Effectively partner with hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners to develop a deep understanding of assigned positions and business units
- Identify required skills & experience by leading requisition intake sessions for all positions
- Source, screen & present a diverse set of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Oversee interview process and manage candidate relationships
- Develop collaborative relationships and partnering with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) and hiring managers to provide recruiting & sourcing expertise
- Manage and oversee requisitions through the application tracking system (ATS) to ensure that hiring activity is documented according to OFCCP & AAP requirements
- Manage offer development including salary analysis, review, and participate in negotiation and re-negotiation of offers
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum experience required of the position:
- Talent Acquisition Recruiter II: 1+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Talent Acquisition Recruiter III: 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree preferred; 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system, customer relationship management system, or a similar system at an enterprise level.
*Relevant experience can be HR, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Managerial or any related experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Must be a self-starter, exhibit a positive attitude, comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment with a strong sense of urgency to deliver for the business.
- Must possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
- Ability to launch and sustain talent pipeline programs through capturing key sourcing intelligence, effectively converting passive candidates, and utilizing diverse sourcing channels.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with business leaders.
- Strong in balancing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and work streams simultaneously.
- Effective at resolving problems by providing creative solutions.
- Ability to handle & maintain confidential information.
- Strong PC Skills with intermediate to advance knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal.
