Job Description:
Cotality is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and transformative leader to lead our Data Management and Analytics organization.
The ideal candidate will be an inspirational and effective leader with a track record of setting and executing high-impact data strategies aligned with core business segments, client feedback, and our innovation agenda. Reporting directly to the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, this role serves as a key leader in the Data, Science & Analytics organization, accountable for market-leading quality and the responsible usage of data. This leader will drive the enterprise vision for data quality, model governance, stewardship, and business intelligence, overseeing a team of ~100 FTEs and significant vendor contracts to deliver on our strategy and drive competitive advantage.
This role will have oversight of:
Enterprise Data Sourcing
Metrics-driven management of all public records data contracts and relationships
Strategy, sourcing, data analysis and contracting with all proprietary & 3rd party data suppliers
Coherent strategy to ensure rational and optimal data contracts for expanded enterprise usage
Data Quality
Design & Operations of enterprise Data Quality monitoring and remediation
Resolution of customer and internal stakeholder data quality issues
Development of data quality improvement programs for critical data content and engage peers to have them implemented
Development of Data Quality team skills, AI adoption and maturity
Evangelize Cotality Data Quality processes and metrics with internal and external clients and stakeholders
SLA adherence for data remediation
Data & Model Governance
Develop, maintain and utilize Data & Model Governance processes and tools in support of business outcomes
Create responsible transparency and access to data & analytics, sharing how our assets can be responsibly leveraged directly in solutions and in model development
Govern content to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, contracts, and audit requirements
Partner with peers across the company to ensure and protect IP in our data assets
Data Stewardship
Ensure all content emerges from data supply chain fit-for-purpose, across all assets
Manage metadata & master data to enhance the product roadmap, including AI -readiness
Business rules/logic that guide content output, quality rules are defined and documented
Center of excellence for stewarding data across Cotality
Analytics & Business Intelligence
Oversee model surveillance program for Cotality’s 200+ in-production and in-development market-facing models
Maintain timely transparency into KPIs across supply chains and DS&A processes
Continuously identify systematic improvements in processes and models quality
Business Engagement
Collaborate with Cotality business segments—including Data, Mortgage, Real Estate, and Insurance Solutions—to translate business strategy into actionable data growth objectives.
Champion enterprise data storytelling and quality to establish competitive differentiation, sourcing and enabling data assets that support new partnerships.
Peer Engagement
Partner with: Data Science to develop enrichment strategies, Engineering & Data Operations to implement new ways of enriching content, Business Segments for short- and long-term growth opportunities, Legal & Compliance, and various data consumers to ensure data is fit for intended use.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will:
Define policy, process, controls, metrics/KPIs to meet business objectives
Work with both Operations and Technology to justify and implement improved data management processes
Monitor, measure and report on data quality and SLA performance
Provide thought leadership on data management
Own financial decision rights on business rules, data usage, model quality and communicate to stakeholders
Recruit, develop and grow a strong talent pipeline of data management professionals
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in data, technology, business-related field or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in various areas of analytics or data management including data governance, business analytics, data science, policy, data analysis, data quality and data content management
Reference data, master data, data modeling, and data analytical knowledge strongly desired

Critical Experiences:

Enterprise Data Leadership
Led large-scale data management or analytics organizations (100+ FTE).
Experience with multi-million-dollar vendor contracts and sourcing strategies.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and audit requirements.

Expertise in data management platforms (Collibra, Tableau, metadata/master data tools).

Proven track record of partnering with business units, legal, compliance, and engineering.
