Overview

The MultiMedia (AV) Solutions Architect will work as part of the Multimedia Design Group to develop AV solutions based on customer requirements, translate customer needs into solutions and proposals, identify and quality components, and to support the development of integration products and systems. In addition, this Engineer is required to translate AV solutions into proposals, including system design functionality, diagrams, and specifications.

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for multiple projects in a Pre- sales client facing capacity. Project types include both new buildings and retrofits in virtually all market verticals including commercial, education, government, heath care, legal and retail.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pre-sales technical support to Sales Representatives
  • Works with Sales Team, customers, and the customer’s facility support to confirm functional requirements and designs before and during the installation process
  • Develops design proposals, and make the required changes prior to customer acceptance
  • Coordinates technical details related to system deliverables HW and SW with vendors and the internal development team
  • Develops Basic AV Flows drawings based on customer and site requirements
  • Assists operations to coordinate installations
  • Provides continuous engineering support throughout the project management of installations from inception through implementation
  • Provides technical support for escalated customer issues
  • Maintains knowledge and proficiency with industry components and standards

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g.: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in AV engineering
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Crestron and AMX control systems
  • Understanding and knowledge of Video and Audio integration, including speakers and mics
  • High degree of computer literacy (MS Office, Web Applications, Visio)
  • Familiarity with Video Conferencing equipment a plus
  • Ability to interact with sales, technical field personnel, management, and customers
  • Very strong customer facing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Must possess a high degree of self-reliance, initiative, and creativity
  • High degree of personal organization and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
  • Ability to travel to support engineering, sales, and marketing activities

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of electronics and AV equipment

Pay Range

$100,000 - $150,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
