Overview

Maintain and support the organization’s critical business applications through best practices. The Senior Applications System Administrator will be responsible for configuration, customization, ongoing maintenance and the day-to-day administration and support of ConnectWise, Microsoft GP, Microsoft CRM, Alert.Net, and/or reporting applications in addition to other existing or future applications as applicable to various business operations. Guide and assist the applications team and user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience not only with the functionality and configuration of the business applications, but also with the business functions performed by users of the applications.

Responsibilities

  • Works on optimization of enterprise-wide business applications by providing support to users, streamlining workflow and improving and maintaining data integrity
  • Administers ConvergeOne software applications including setup and configuration of new users, functionality and workflow
  • Works with the Tech Support Team to respond to requests from business users while creatively resolves issues, answers questions and clarifies business processes, designs and develops enhancements, troubleshoots and fixes bugs and provides Tier 2 to 4 application support to end users
  • Defines and performs routine maintenance practices related to application/system administration (typically done outside of normal business hours) and monitor overall system health as necessary
  • Partners with assigned business units to understand business processes, and configures changing business needs as enhancements into new and/or existing solutions applying change management best practices
  • Works collaboratively with IT and Business partners to maintain support and enhance enterprise business applications
  • Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identifies and resolves systems issues
  • Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Ensures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfills end-user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issues
  • Deploys new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
  • Collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Ensures that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
  • Works with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies
  • Coordinates feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and gives advice based on findings
  • Contributes to system testing and user acceptance testing phase of development by evaluating new functionality in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
  • Reviews and analyzes existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
  • Collaborates with business units and stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Evaluates change requests to determine effort required to configure/update applications
  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Works with Project Manager to track project milestones and deliverables
  • Manages proactively changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plans
  • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the organization
  • Develops best practices and tools for software project execution and management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
  • 4 or more years’ experience in application support and/or IT related project management
  • 4 or more year’s application system administration
  • 4 or more years’ experience performing or working closely with the business functions performed by users of the application
  • Proficient in Microsoft CRM, Alert or other ITSM application, Microsoft GP, Connectwise, Sharepoint, and/or reporting applications is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for IT infrastructure and applications support
  • The primary functional of this will be for Microsoft Dynamics CRM System Administrator.
  • Any other Sys Admin exp like Ivanti, ConnectWise, NetSuite will be helpful but not necessary

Pay Range

$90,000 - $125,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
