As the Manager, Fixed Assets, you will oversee the accounting and reporting of property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) for the company’s network and corporate assets. This role manages the full fixed asset lifecycle—including capitalization (including capitalized labor), depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals—while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policy, and regulatory standards. You will lead a dedicated team within the Accounting Operations department and collaborate closely with IT, Network Operations, and other accounting groups to ensure accurate and timely fixed asset accounting and system integration. This position leverages Oracle Fusion Assets as the primary fixed asset platform, with cross-functional coordination across Projects and General Ledger modules. Beyond daily operations, you will also play a key role in strengthening internal controls, driving automation, and mentoring staff toward excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

In all of your duties, you will have a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage all details to perfection and deliver desired results.

• Manage the end-to-end fixed asset accounting process, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and retirements.

• Oversee period-end close tasks such as journal entries for capital accruals, gains/losses on disposals, and depreciation and amortization.

• Evaluate internal use software projects in partnership with IT for capitalization versus expense in accordance with ASC 350-40 and company policy.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, Project Management, Network) to align asset accounting with project milestones and closeouts.

• Manage and execute monthly close activities for fixed assets, including depreciation runs, reconciliations, and rollforward schedules.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal capitalization policies, including useful life determinations, componentization, and capital treatment.

• Maintain accurate fixed asset subledger records and reconcile balances to the general ledger.

• Prepare and review fixed asset reports, rollforwards, and metrics for management and audit review.

• Support external and internal audit requests through documentation, analysis, and reconciliation.

• Drive process improvements and automation within the fixed asset and project accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Mentor, train, and guide staff to build technical and professional expertise, ensuring accountability and growth.

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls over fixed asset processes in alignment with company and regulatory standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Accounting Operations team and broader business initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP related to PP&E and Internal Use Software.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

We will give special consideration to candidates who have:

• CPA designation or active CPA eligibility.

• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

• Industry experience in telecommunications, technology, or related infrastructure sectors.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Assets and familiarity with Oracle Fusion Projects and General Ledger modules.

• Experience implementing process improvements, automation, or technology solutions within accounting and reporting.
