About the Role
The TruBridge Encoder team is seeking a Technical Content Creator. In this role you will create, edit and maintain video and written documentation for the TruBridge Encoder products, which include SaaS and API offerings as well as a legacy desktop application.
In this role you will take ownership of projects from beginning to end, creating clear accurate content for end-users, administrators, developers, and customer support. You will work closely with SMEs to learn about enhancements and for content reviews.
What You Will Do
- Develop a deep understanding of the products
- Create high-quality technical videos and written content in an environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Create interactive self-guided training courses using video and written content
- Analyze stories, requirements, use the products, and communicate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather information for content creation
- Manage multiple projects from beginning to end
- Create content independently and in collaboration
- Use best practices and consistency in content creation
- Gather documentation review feedback and implement improvements
- Participate in documentation planning, publishing, process refinement, and improvement initiatives
What Success Looks Like
First Month
Your focus is on learning the products and processes.
- Gain access to systems and tools and familiarize yourself with them
- Develop an understanding of the TruBridge Encoder products through use, demos, documentation, and tutorials
- While using the documentation, note any typos or information that is inconsistent with the product you are using
- Become familiar with updating the documentation through correcting the errors you found
- Meet with team members for introductions, for insight into the team processes, to establish communication, and to gain an understanding of needs and expertise
Second Month
Your focus is on contributing with guidance while continuing to learn processes and products.
- Begin collaborating with trainers on educational video development and start drafting scripts for review
- Develop an understanding of the documentation planning, review, and release processes
- Identify gaps in processes or areas for improvement as you learn the processes
- Draft content for a few deliverables for the next release
Third Month
Your focus is on operating independently as a fully contributing team member.
- Own deliverables from conception to publication
- Collaborate on the 2026 documentation planning aligning with the roadmap for the year
- Collaborate on plans for process and documentation improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For
Required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and constancy
- Experience creating training video and technical documentation
- Familiarity with documentation and video editing tools such as MadCap Flare, MadCap Central, and Camtasia, or similar
- Understanding of and experience with topic-based authoring and content reuse
- Strong project management and organization skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, documentation review cycles, and deadlines
- Video and writing samples that demonstrate your work
Nice to Have
- Experience with issue management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence, or similar
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with HIM encoder software
- CSS and HTML knowledge
